Tip: for banking/email accounts, use 16–24 characters with symbols enabled.
Generate a password to see strength.
A strong password generator helps you create secure, random passwords that are hard to guess and resistant to brute-force attacks. Our free password generator online runs entirely in your browser and uses the cryptographically secure `crypto.getRandomValues()` API to pick characters—so your passwords are generated privately and instantly, with no server requests and no storage.
Choose a password length between 8 and 64 characters, enable or disable uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols, and optionally exclude characters you don’t want. If you’re sharing passwords verbally or typing them on a TV or projector, use the exclude ambiguous characters option to remove similar-looking symbols like 0/O and I/1. You can also generate multiple passwords at once, then copy a single password with one click—or copy the whole batch for a password manager import.
To help you pick safer passwords, we show a strength rating (Weak/Medium/Strong/Very Strong). When available, the page uses Dropbox’s zxcvbn estimator to evaluate how easily a password could be guessed. For best security, use unique passwords per account and store them in a trusted password manager.
